Genoa United Methodist Methodist Church, 1894 to present

on the back in pencil is written" Genoa Old School House -- store and dwelling -- Charles Cade

Tucked into an envelope were these photos, although I am not certain about the relation of the first one to the rest, which are clearly scrapbook pages of the early days of Genoa United Methodist, both from the original building, which their website lists as "organized by fourteen Methodists in 1894 with Rev. Murray, pastor. In 1898, members cut two trees to build the first sanctuary."

This appears to be the original building, which would date the photo prior to 1937

"Twice damaged by storms, a second sanctuary was built by volunteers in 1937-38. Our third and present sanctuary was built in 1957."
