1977 Volunteer Umpires Honored

Volunteer umpires honored. At a recent meeting of the Sagemont-Beverly Hills Little League board meeting, members of the volunteer umpire team were honored for their work during the past baseball season. John Willians, President of the league presented all those attending with an "umpire" pin. The group which served last year, saved the group in excess of $2000. Formation of a volunteer umpire group, which consisted of both men and women was made necessary due to the shortage of regular unpires. Volunteers for the upcoming program are greatly needed. They will be used for the t-ball and softball rookie division. THose honored at the recent meeting are:
