January 1979 Almeda Mall Competing

The newly opened Baybrook mall was the first real competition for area shopper's dollars and at the outset of 1979, another competitor is entering the ring: Pasadena Town Square. It would open in 1982.

The Foley's that would anchor the mall had already been in place for many years.
