Beamer, the HFD Firehouse Dog


In spring 1985, the Leader ran this photo on its front page.

The puppy was later named Beamer.

He served the firehouse as mascot for 14 years before his passing.

    I remember driving by HFD Station #70 and seeing Beamer, outside with the firefighters, quite often. He was a cool pup.
