American Legion, Post 490: The team was a make-up of the best boys from Dobie/South Houston schools. The two coaches, center front row, are two dads of players: Mr. Trojanowski, dad of Walter (Dobie) and Mr. Yerkes, dad of Ricky (South Houston).
The picture above may have been taken after the team sewed up the Southern region and was headed for the World Series next.
