1979 Bluebonnets Girls Softball Champs

The Freshman Girls Champions: The Bluebonnets. 

The frosh teams were all flowers, you know, cute and not terribly fear-inducing. 
Facing Tammy Sharpe at the plate, wearing any flower, was most definitely fear-inducing. Girl had an ARM at fast-pitch, even at age 9. 

As we got older, we got scarier. The next level up was all natural disasters: Twisters, Cyclones, Tidalwaves, Hurricanes, etc... And Tammy got even fiercer! Add to that the fact that this was the sweetest girl who would shred every fiber of confidence that you would ever swing fast enough to get a hit off of her, and she was a force to be reckoned with.
