Nov. 10, 1971 Houston Chronicle ran the photo of the Continental Minimax opening at 10590 Fuqua, across the street from Beverly Hills Intermediate School
Just the week prior it had its first listing among the Minimax stores around the Houston Area
It closed April 5, 1975
In March 1979 after sitting vacant for nearly three years, the Sagemont Ace Hardware Store started remodeling for opening May 1979
Unfortunately, they were hampered in their first year of operation by the huge construction project to widen Fuqua to four lanes, which wasn't finished until August 1980

The last ad they ran with the South Belt Leader at this address was December 1980
By the start of 1982 Crutchfield Carpets had moved into the building and remained until March 1985
(January 1982)
(March 1985)
In 1988 & 1989 Sagemont Bingo was opened at this address and ran ads in the South Belt Leader
The next time the address appears, late 1992, it was a Walgreens.
The last mention I can find in either Post, Chronicle, or Leader is late 2000 when Walgreens was still in place.
Checking the historical Google Map photos, the first time in 2007 it was sitting empty and stayed that way for another decade
Until the current occupant (as of this writing May, 2026) opened: La Michoacana Meat Market moved in. It would appear they are the longest occupant of the site since it was built 55 years ago.
