You have the 20th anniversary marked with a rainbow cake
Mickey Mantle was in the house, twenty years after hitting the first home run in the Dome on opening day.
And a young upstart, who, according to the '85 Chronicle writer Ed Fowler, was " the yahoo who kept his hat on while butchering the National Anthem on a steel guitar."
Guess Fowler wasn't much of a blues man.
Carl Lewis threw out the first pitch, and then . . .
there was the debut of the Kissing Bandit.
