7/11/79 Cross-District Busing Threat

Houston ISD was in federal court in the summer of 1979 in a desgregation fight that threatened to involve PISD students bussing into HISD schools. 

HISD was 42% white in 1979, with projections that it would drop to 20% by the mid-80s. 

In 2010, it was 7.6%.
